Jake Trbojevic has been sidelined by the Manly Sea Eagles for the remainder of the season after experiencing three concussions during 2025. The 31-year-old former NSW Blues captain accepted the club's decision to rest him for the coming weeks, but speculation surrounding a potential longer-term retirement has emerged.

In light of his concussion history and dip in performance this season, many people have encouraged Trbojevic to consider retiring from professional rugby. Despite these concerns, he is focused on recuperating and has expressed his determination to return for the Sea Eagles' preseason activities.

"I'm going to play next year, definitely," Trbojevic stated in an interview with the Daily Telegraph. He also shared an optimistic update on his health, saying, "I'm feeling pretty good, I've come good. Obviously, like the first week or whatever, I was not the best, but I'm feeling good now."
