To'o Boost for Blues; DWZ Set for Warriors Return
Star winger Brian To'o is poised to return for the Panthers and the Westpac NSW Blues in a highly anticipated match against North Queensland on Saturday night.
According to nrl.com.au, To'o has played only three matches this season after re-injuring his hamstring, which also caused him to miss the season opener in Las Vegas.
If fit, he is expected to be among the first selections for the Blues in State of Origin due to his exceptional finishing ability and talent for gaining ground on yardage carries.
To'o, a Samoan international, has averaged over 200 meters with the ball in his 12 Origin appearances since 2021, showcasing similar statistics for Penrith over the last seven seasons.
New Blues coach Laurie Daley is set to announce the team for Origin I in Brisbane on May 28, following Round 11.
To'o needs to successfully participate in Saturday's match against the Cowboys, as Penrith will have a bye the subsequent weekend.
Additionally, the Panthers are coming off a decisive 38-18 victory against Brisbane at Magic Round, which helped them climb off the bottom of the NRL ladder.
They also welcome back hooker Mitch Kenny from suspension as the four-time premiers aim to make a strong push in the season.
