The Gold Coast Titans are gearing up to have a pow-wow with up-and-coming forward Josiah Pahulu as another NRL team throws their hat in the ring.
Dubbed the Rookie of the Year for the Titans, Pahulu's time on the glitter strip looks to be on the rocks after the Titans snagged Reagan Campbell-Gillard from the Parramatta Eels and gear up to welcome back Tino Fa'asuamaleaui from the injury bench.
Having showcased his skills in 19 matches this season, Pahulu caught the eye of club bigwigs and stood out as one of the team's top performers, racking up 280 tackles, 21 bulldozing run-throughs, 489 post-contact meters, and 1,271 running meters - averaging a solid 63 per game.
Although initial reports hinted at Pahulu's loyalty to the Titans, whispers started circulating over a week ago that he was angling for a quick exit from his contract.
Spilling the beans on Footy Talk, The Herald's Michael Chammas let slip that Pahulu and his management are slated to huddle with the Titans later this week to hash out his immediate future.
