Young Titans winger Tony Francis has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Gold Coast club.

The 20-year-old recently showcased his impressive skills by scoring a hat-trick in the Hostplus Cup grand final.

Despite not yet making his NRL debut, Francis has been a consistent performer for the Burleigh Bears, scoring 21 tries in 22 games during the 2023 season.

Having been part of the Titans development list, Francis will now join the Top 30 squad for the upcoming 2024 season.

With 42 games of Hostplus Cup experience under his belt, Francis will be eager to prove himself and earn a spot in the NRL squad next year.

He will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his friend Alofiana Khan-Pereira, who enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2023 after transitioning from the Queensland Cup to the NRL.

In addition to his club commitments, Francis is also a contender for the Tonga A team, set to face off against New Zealand A on October 21.
