The Gold Coast Titans have welcomed back experienced assistant coach Steve Murphy, who is taking over for Kieran Foran after his exit to the Manly Sea Eagles.
A former member of the club's original coaching staff, Murphy served alongside John Cartwright from 2006 to 2013. He now returns to the Titans, joining Josh Hannay's coaching team as the newest assistant, alongside Brad Davis and Brian McDermott, the latter of whom has recently joined from the Newcastle Knights.
Murphy is well-regarded in the rugby league community, having previously worked with the Parramatta Eels under coach Brad Arthur, and more recently, with Anthony Seibold at the Manly Sea Eagles, where he held the roles of development coach and training coordinator.
"Steve brings over two decades of experience in the NRL and I am thrilled to have him join us here at the Titans," coach Josh Hannay said. "He has a very strong understanding of the game, and a real desire to develop players. His long-term connection to the Gold Coast, combined with his extensive coaching experience, makes him an exceptional addition to the team."
