The Gold Coast Titans have appointed Anthony Laffranchi, a former Australian and New South Wales Blues forward, to a significant off-field position as they aim to improve their standings in the upcoming seasons.

At 44 years old, Laffranchi has held various roles within the Titans organization since retiring from professional play. Now, he steps into the role of Head of Recruitment, taking over from Ezra Howe.

In his new position, Laffranchi will collaborate with the newly appointed head coach, Josh Hannay, who will succeed Des Hasler starting in 2026 on a three-year contract.

"Anthony is held in high regard. He is a person of great integrity and is a great clubman," stated Gold Coast Titans CEO Steve Mitchell.

Mitchell praised Laffranchi's extensive experience within the football department and noted his ambition to help shape the team's roster, aiming for a balanced squad and necessary changes to achieve success.

Laffranchi was part of the 2005 Wests Tigers premiership team and has a career total of 205 NRL matches, playing for the Tigers from 2001 to 2006 before joining the Titans from 2007 to 2011, where he was part of their inaugural team.

"We know we have some refinements to make to the roster, and we are confident that Anthony has the skills and the character and support to be successful in the role," Mitchell added.
