The Gold Coast Titans have announced their ambition to make a trip to Las Vegas in 2027 as part of the NRL's five-year deal to host opening games in the entertainment capital.

All current 17 teams will have the opportunity to make the trip, with the Titans being one of the nine remaining clubs yet to do so.

CEO Steve Mitchell revealed that while they would be open to traveling in 2026, they prefer to go in 2027.

In an interview on SEN Radio, Mitchell explained the club's reasoning for delaying their Las Vegas trip, stating, "We want to make sure we're in the best possible shape and mentality as a football club before making the trip.

We need to have the right structures, the right playing group and the right commercial opportunities in place before exploring this exciting venture." The Titans are taking a strategic approach to ensure they are fully prepared for the trip, indicating their commitment to success on and off the field.

With other teams like the St George Illawarra Dragons, Canterbury Bulldogs, North Queensland Cowboys, and Wests Tigers already linked to potentially making the trip next year, the Titans are carefully planning their timeline for the Las Vegas adventure.

Mitchell's comments suggest that the club is focused on building a strong foundation before venturing into new opportunities, highlighting their dedication to long-term sustainability and success.

As part of the NRL's initiative to expand the league's reach and create new experiences for players and fans, the trip to Las Vegas presents a unique opportunity for teams to engage with international audiences and promote the sport on a global scale.

By strategically planning their trip for 2027, the Titans are positioning themselves for a successful and memorable experience in one of the world's most iconic destinations.
