The Gold Coast Titans are aiming to revitalize their performance in 2026 after enduring a prolonged period of underachievement.
Following the dismissal of Des Hasler and the appointment of Josh Hannah as head coach, the Titans have made another significant move by securing a major addition to their coaching staff for the upcoming season.
Brian McDermott, who has recently served as an assistant coach for the Newcastle Knights, will be joining the Titans. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously enjoyed considerable success in the Super League.
"Brian's record speaks for itself," Titans CEO Steve Mitchell stated.
Mitchell expressed his enthusiasm about McDermott joining the team, highlighting the valuable knowledge and professionalism he will contribute to the coaching staff under Hannah's leadership.
"We know he'll play a significant role in developing the squad and helping us achieve sustained success and we can't wait to welcome him," Mitchell added, optimistic about the impending change in the club's dynamics.
