In their NRLW trial match, Wests Tigers faced a 12-4 defeat against St.

George Illawarra at Leichhardt Oval.

The game served as a final preparation before the season starts in two weeks.

The Dragons opened the scoring with Teagan Berry darting over from dummy half and extended their lead through Margot Vella down the right touchline, leading to an 8-0 score at halftime, with no conversions taken.

In the second half, both teams utilized their extended squads, with nearly new lineups taking to the field.

Wests Tigers made a strong start in this period, as front-rower Tiresa Leasuasu scored from dummy half, narrowing the gap.

Despite this effort, the Tigers were unable to secure a comeback, ultimately succumbing to the Dragons.
