Tigers skipper injury leaves team in uncertainty

The Wests Tigers are facing a potential setback as their captain Apisai Korisau picked up an injury during Friday night's clash with the Cronulla Sharks.

The hooker had to leave the field with 13 minutes left in the game, hobbling off with a calf injury that required heavy strapping and icing.

"Looks like there's a concern here.

This is a game-changer," remarked Corey Parker on Fox League commentary.

Koroisau didn't provide much insight into the extent of the injury post-match, but it's likely that he will undergo scans in the coming days to assess the damage.

According to NRL Physio, a minor calf strain could see Korisau sidelined for one to three weeks, but it could be longer if the strain is more severe.

The Tigers will be eager to get their skipper back on the field as soon as possible to maintain their momentum in the competition.
