In Round 15 of the Jersey Flegg Cup, Wests Tigers secured a resounding 58-10 victory against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles at Lidcombe Oval.
The match began with winger Will Craig opening the scoring in the left corner, courtesy of a crisp cut-out pass from fullback Logan Brookes.
Minutes later, Mitch Taotua extended the lead after a coordinated effort from Jared Haywood and Iverson Matai, with Craig converting to make it 10-0.
Manly responded with winger Zachary Karam, who scored by skillfully stepping off his left foot.
However, Wests Tigers continued their momentum when back-rower Solomone Saukuru made a powerful charge into the try zone following a pass from Matai in the 24th minute.
The game tilted even further in favor of Wests when Manly hooker Zaidas Muagututia was sin-binned for a professional foul.
Taking full advantage of their one-man advantage, Wests Tigers saw Josese Lanyon make an immediate impact off the bench, scoring shortly after his entry.
Lanyon followed up with a second try soon after, exploiting a break created by props Shaq Tavita and Lenny Plati to dissect the Sea Eagles' defense.
