Raiders fall to Tigers

In a disappointing turn of events, raiders.com.au is lamenting the Canberra Raiders' 48-24 loss to the West Tigers on Sunday afternoon at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

The game kicked off with an intense back and forth, reminiscent of a heavyweight boxing match, before the Tigers managed to break away and secure the first points of the match.

Tigers centre Brent Naden made a daring interception in the Raiders' attacking half, only to be hunted down by Raiders winger Xavier Savage in a thrilling chase.

But the Tigers were not to be denied, as five-eighth Lachlan Galvin scored a crucial try to give his team a 6-0 lead.

Momentum was clearly on the Tigers' side as winger Luke Laulilii burst over the line on his debut, extending their lead to 12-0.

The Raiders fought valiantly, with fullback Jordan Rapana making a heroic try-saving tackle on Adam Doueihi in the 20th minute.

But it wasn't enough to turn the tide, as the Tigers continued to dominate the field with their fierce attack and solid defense.

The Raiders, despite their best efforts, could not match the Tigers' relentless drive to victory.

It was a tough loss for the Raiders, but they will regroup and come back stronger in their next match.
