Tigers Fullback Faces Uncertain Future Amid Contract Issues

The Wests Tigers have experienced significant player departures in recent years, losing prominent figures such as James Tedesco, Mitchell Moses, Ryan Papenhuyzen, and Josh Addo-Carr.

In light of their challenges in recruitment and player retention, the club is reportedly facing another potential exit. Jahream Bula, a standout player, may be inclined to walk away after discussions indicated that he could opt out of his mutual option for 2027 with the Tigers.

On Triple M's The Journos, Michael Chammas shared insights, suggesting the club may not be interested in keeping Bula. According to Chammas, "I think Jahream Bula could depart the club." He added, "I don't think there's an appetite from the Wests Tigers to activate his contract."

Chammas further noted that the Tigers are reluctant to pay Bula's substantial salary of $800,000, which could ultimately lead to his departure. If the Tigers decide to let the skilled fullback go, he will have the opportunity to negotiate with other clubs for the 2027 season.
