Tigers eye dragons as contracts run aflame

The Wests Tigers are reportedly interested in signing off-contract half Jonah Glover from the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Despite not having made his NRL debut, Glover's performance in the NSW Cup has garnered attention from frustrated Dragons fans, particularly as the team's current first-grade halves have struggled this season.

Dragons boss Shane Flanagan has recently made significant changes, demoting Lachlan Ilias to reserve grade and promoting Lykhan King-Togia to the first-grade side to play in the halfback position.

This move has led to Glover taking the number six jersey in reserve grade, where he has excelled, contributing to a Dragons team that currently sits second in the NSW Cup standings.

Throughout this season, Glover has impressive statistics: ten try assists in 11 games, a tackle success rate exceeding 90%, and he averages over 250 kicking metres and 88 running metres per game.

His performance at this level has led to calls for his promotion to the NRL, especially given the struggles of the Dragons' current halves.
