Tigers drop claws, accept Olam ruling after revelation

The Wests Tigers have decided to throw in the towel and not take on the challenge of disputing Justin Olam's charge at the judiciary after some shocking news has thrown a spanner in the works.

The decision to not challenge the ruling handed down by the Match Review Committee that saw Olam red-carded in the clash against the North Queensland Cowboys spells bad news for the centre, as he will be sidelined for the rest of the season due to injury.

After a thorough medical examination, the club has confirmed that Olam will need surgery on both knees, a recurring injury that has plagued him all season.

The surgery is scheduled for later this week.

With this turn of events, the Tigers have opted to plead 'No Contest', leading to Olam's official suspension for the next four weeks.

It's a tough blow for the team, but they'll have to regroup and soldier on without their star player.

Just goes to show, in the game of Rugby League, injuries can strike at any moment and teams must adapt and push through adversity to come out stronger on the other side.
