The Wests Tigers have officially announced that the number of player departures by the end of the 2025 season will total six, ensuring that there will be no off-contract players heading into the next year.
Solomona Faataape and Charlie Staines, both heading to Catalans Dragons, were already confirmed to be leaving the club after the 2025 season. Additionally, Tallyn Da Silva (Parramatta Eels) and Lachlan Galvin (Canterbury Bulldogs) left midway through the season and are not part of the announced departures.
Joining the departure list are four newly confirmed players: Brent Naden, Justin Matamua, Josh Feledy, and Brandon Tumeth.
The exit of Naden may come as the most surprising news, as there had been speculation earlier in the year regarding his contract renewal with the Tigers. This shift in perspective follows a change in the club's recruitment team and coaching staff's stance, which initially indicated Naden would not be retained. However, the final decision is now confirmed, and the outside back will be on the lookout for a new team.
Justin Matamua is another player on the departure list with a noteworthy amount of first-grade experience, having shown promise but ultimately finding himself lower in the team's hierarchy during 2025.
