Melbourne Storm's U17's and U19's made their triumphant return to Seabrook Reserve in Broadmeadows for the new year, eager to turn the tides in the Junior Rep season.

After a tough loss to the Illawarra Steelers last week, the Storm's Harold Matthews squad showed significant improvement in their clash against South Sydney on Saturday.
Despite initially falling behind by three tries, the Storm U17's rallied back with a vengeance in the second half, scoring three tries of their own to even the score.

A standout performance from centre Wivenshalom Tyrell, who bagged a double, and some crucial kicking from fullback Hunter Stokie helped bring them back into the game.
Unfortunately, a late try from the Rabbitohs' Anthony Mailangi dashed the Storm's hopes of a comeback victory.

However, the home team can take solace in their strong showing and will look to build on their performance as they head to Sydney to take on the Bears in Round 3.
