Te'o Reflects on Broncos Departure

Ben Te'o has come forward following his resignation from the Brisbane Broncos as an assistant coach last week.

The exit followed a reported altercation between Te'o and Broncos head coach Michael Maguire concerning tactical decisions that preceded their victory over the Melbourne Storm.

Te'o was also prevented from joining Billy Slater's QLD Maroons coaching staff, with Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy emphasizing that "you can't weaken your program," while another assistant, Matt Ballin, remained attached to the representative position.

Though Te'o did not specify the exact reasons for his departure, he expressed satisfaction with his choice.

"I'm going really well," Te'o stated on Triple M.

"It's been a big week for me. Probably the first part of the week for me was the toughest, and it is always unfortunate when things go this way."

"But all I can say is that I am someone who is pretty strong and I know what is important to me and where I am going in my coaching career, and this was the decision that I came up with, and I'm very comfortable with it."

Maguire faced questions about the situation during a post-match press conference after the game against their rivals, the Dolphins, but he chose to remain tight-lipped.

"Look, he submitted his resignation and now we've taken that. And that's all I'm going to talk about," Maguire commented.
