There's been a bit of a stir in the Rugby League world with allegations of a bite from Kyle Flanagan, and his former teammate Victor Radley has shared his thoughts on the matter, giving a bit of a blow to the Dragons' five-eighth.
NRL bigwig Graham Annesley didn't want to give too much away about whether Flanagan had sunk his teeth into Stephen Crichton, but Radley, a Roosters bruiser, didn't hold back, saying it definitely looked like a nibble.
Radley and Flanagan used to be teammates at the Roosters, but now the playmaker is stepping up for the Dragons, showing some solid form in the halves to keep his team in the running for finals footy.
But now, Flanagan's future hangs in the balance as the judiciary will lay down the law on Tuesday to determine whether he took a chomp at Crichton, who was left with some visible marks on his schnoz after the incident in the 63rd minute that got Flanagan in hot water with the NRL.
"He reckons he didn't do it, but it sure looked like he did," Radley remarked.
"It's a bit of a joke, really.
Not too fussed about it.
"Can't be sinking the teeth into someone on the footy field.
You always have a choice not to bite, so it's not something that just happens out of the blue.
No one bites themselves, mate."
