Canberra Raiders forward Joe Tapine has been named the club's best player for the second consecutive season, winning the prestigious Meninga Medal at the Raiders Presentation night.
The event took place at the National Convention Centre and was reported by raiders.com.au.
Tapine's outstanding performances throughout the season earned him the well-deserved accolade.
Last season, Tapine also claimed the Meninga Medal, making this his second consecutive win.
The race for the award was a close one, with Sebastian Kris finishing just two votes behind Tapine.
Matt Timoko secured the third spot in the voting rankings.
Kris received recognition for his exceptional season by winning the NRL Coaches award.
Another young talent, Ata Mariota, was honored with the Peter Mulholland NRL Rookie of the Year award.
The NRLW Player of the Year was not announced during the event, as the season has two matches remaining.
The award will be presented at the end of the regular season.
Janelle Williams was awarded the NRLW Coaches award, while Cheyelle Robins-Reti took home the NRLW Rookie of the Year title.
