Sam Walker says contract discussions can wait while he focuses on the Sydney Roosters' grand final, their first appearance since 2019.
"My preference is obviously to stay at the Roosters," he told CODE Sports.
"For now I'm not thinking anything about that.
"My job is to go out there and perform and play football and the rest will take care of itself.
"I've not given that any thought at all until. There's not a glimmer of thought about that at the moment.
"It's about winning next Sunday."
Walker rejected the Roosters' initial four-year extension offer, worth about $1.1 million per season, in July.
Negotiations are understood to be scheduled to resume after the grand final, amid concern Walker could test the open market from November 1.
A premiership could lift his value to $1.5 million per season, the figure his management is seeking.
