Following Keaon Koloamatangi's transfer to the St George Illawarra Dragons, Samoan Test prop Francis Molo has quickly emerged as a highly sought-after forward on the open market. Several NRL clubs are considering a move for the seasoned middle forward.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs and Parramatta Eels, both of whom missed out on Koloamatangi, are expected to closely follow Molo's situation after his impressive 2025 season with the Dolphins.
Although Molo remains under contract with the Redcliffe Dolphins until the end of the 2026 season, NRL rules allow him to negotiate with other clubs right away, leading to growing interest in the 31-year-old.
Molo's manager, Wayde Rushton, acknowledged that while the Dolphins want to keep him, there is significant demand for experienced middle forwards as the market becomes more competitive.
"Frank is happy at Redcliffe and they want to keep him," Rushton told Wide World of Sports. "But at the same time, he has to look after himself and his family and there is definitely a demand for tough middle men in the NRL at the moment. He was great for Samoa late in the year and that has boosted his value."
