The Canberra Raiders have reported that they went down to the Storm in Melbourne, suffering a tough 16-6 loss on a rainy Saturday night at AAMI Park.

Despite the challenging wet conditions, the Raiders' defence put up a strong fight, keeping the Storm scoreless for the first 36 minutes.

However, errors crept in and ultimately cost them the match.

The game kicked off with early mistakes from both teams, including an obstruction call against the Storm.

The Raiders had their chances to strike but couldn't quite convert due to their own unforced errors.

Hudson Young came up with a crucial one-on-one strip to regain possession for the Raiders, showcasing his defensive prowess.

Xavier Savage and Adam Cook also made important contributions to maintain possession for the Green Machine.

Canberra's goal line defence proved to be a bright spot, holding off the Storm's advances with impressive stops from players like Cook and Albert Hopoate.

Grant Anderson and Will Warbrick came close to scoring for the Storm, but the Raiders' defence stood strong.

As the first half winded down, the Storm broke the deadlock and scored through prop Josh King off the back of an error.

A successful conversion by Tyran Wishart put the Storm ahead 6-0 at halftime.

Despite the loss, the Raiders can take solace in their resilient defensive efforts and look to bounce back stronger in their next matchup.
