Team Announcement: Round 17 v Raiders

The Melbourne Storm has announced their lineup for the upcoming showdown against the Canberra Raiders in Round 17 at AAMI Park this Saturday evening.

Captain Harry Grant and winger Xavier Coates are set to lace up their boots after their Origin duties representing the Maroons, ready to bring their winning spirit to the Storm team.

Unfortunately, NRL's top point scorer, Nick Meaney, will be sidelined due to a pesky calf injury picked up in last week's nail-biting win over the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium.

In a strategic move, Grant Anderson will be holding down the fort in the centres alongside the young gun Jack Howarth, who put on a show last week with an impressive 165 run metres, a linebreak, and eight tackle-breaks.

Trent Loiero is set to lock it down from the start, with Bronson Garlick and Nelson Asofa-Solomona ready to bring their A-game off the bench.

With the luxury of a 23-man squad thanks to midweek Origin action, the Storm has also listed Alec MacDonald in the reserves as he fights to make a comeback from an ankle injury.

Get ready for some top-notch Rugby League action as the Storm gears up to take on the Raiders on their home turf.

It's gonna be a ripper!
