Melbourne Storm has unveiled their commemorative 2025 ANZAC Round jersey inspired by wartime hero Air Commodore Arthur Henry 'Harry' Cobby.
This jersey, honoring a single individual for the first time, will be worn during the upcoming ANZAC Day clash against the Rabbitohs at AAMI Park.
Cobby, a Melbourne born pilot, had a remarkable career in aviation and military service spanning over 30 years, making him one of the greatest flying aces in WW1.
He played a crucial role in both World Wars, rising to the rank of Air Commodore during World War II and commanding 20,000 men and women in the South West Pacific as Director of Recruiting.
His contributions earned him a prestigious CBE.
The special ANZAC Round jersey features a VIC Flying Formation at its center, symbolizing Cobby in flight.
Checkerboard detailing represents his signature checkered plane, while a red poppy pays tribute to the enduring ANZAC legacy.
Melbourne Storm's CEO, Justin Rodski, expressed the team's pride in honoring Cobby and highlighting his significant role in Australian aviation history.
