As part of Member Appreciation Round, Melbourne Storm's official website, melbournestorm.com.au, reported that the dedicated banner crew was visited by a group of Storm players on Thursday night.
These players, including Joe Chan, Jayden Nikorima, Jack Howarth, Dean Ieremia, Chris Lewis, and Aaron Pene, chipped in to help create the banner that would be proudly displayed at the Raiders game on Sunday afternoon.
The banner crew, thanks to major partner RedZed, received their own custom jerseys as a token of the club's gratitude.
This crew's commitment and support for the club is unparalleled, as they have been making a banner for each home game and some members have been supporting the club for over 20 years.
On this occasion, the players traded the footy for sticky tape and scissors, giving them the opportunity to give back and interact with the loyal members who have dedicated countless hours to the club's success.
These unique banners have become a staple at Storm home games, representing Victoria and conveying messages of support for the squad as they take the field.
The banners also pay tribute to significant rounds, such as Indigenous Round and ANZAC Day, as well as charities like the Starlight Foundation, while also celebrating player and club milestones.
