A member of the Melbourne Storm's 2025 NRL Grand Final team might soon be making a surprising move, as rumors suggest a potential exit from the club.

Shawn Blore, one of five players at the Storm without a contract beyond next season, has made a strong impact since joining from the Wests Tigers, securing a regular position in the back-row.

As players return to pre-season training, speculation has begun to circulate about the 25-year-old possibly leaving Melbourne for a surprising return to his roots in Sydney.

"There's a bit of talk that Shawn Blore may look to come back to Sydney," News Corp's Brent Read mentioned on James Graham's The Bye Round Podcast.

Since joining the club in 2024, Blore has played 48 matches, winning 36 of them. Despite no definitive confirmation about his next steps, the 25-year-old is at a pivotal point in his career and is likely to draw interest from various teams due to his talent on both defense and offense, as well as his powerful running style.

Teams like the Manly Sea Eagles, Parramatta Eels, St George Illawarra Dragons, and South Sydney Rabbitohs are all actively seeking players of Blore's caliber.
