Trent Loiero, the QLD Maroons lock, was charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact for his tackle on Nicho Hynes during the intense match.
However, he has been cleared to participate in the Grand Final, having avoided suspension after receiving a $1000 fine, which could increase to $1500 if he chooses to contest the decision and loses.
Fortunately, Hynes did not sustain any injuries from the tackle.
