UK star Stephen Fry has admitted to having a stash of South Sydney Rabbitohs merchandise in his abode, thanks to the persuasive efforts of Aussie acting legend Russell Crowe.
Despite never actually watching a game, Fry confessed on the Fox's Fifi, Fev and Nick breakfast show that his house is now adorned with the iconic red and green colors of the Rabbitohs.
"It's a sport I haven't quite wrapped my head around, despite the charismatic Russell Crowe bombarding me and everyone he meets with Rabbitohs merch," Fry revealed.
"My house is overflowing with Rabbitohs memorabilia, and yet I've never witnessed them in action."
Curious to know more about the team, Fry questioned, "I don't know how they're faring.
Are they a Sydney team?"
The hosts from Melbourne filled in the British star, informing him that the Rabbitohs had hit a rough patch.
Despite not being well-versed in the world of rugby league, Fry's collection of Rabbitohs gear serves as a testament to his unexpected connection to the Australian sporting scene thanks to Crowe's persistence.
