NRL head of football Graham Annesley has defended the controversial calls made by the Bunker in the recent elimination finals.

He stated that "close enough isn't good enough" when it comes to scoring tries, emphasizing the need for accuracy in decision-making.

The outcome of these matches hinged on fine margins, with the Sharks losing by just one point and the Raiders being eliminated in an extra-time thriller.

Cronulla coach Craig Fitzgibbon expressed his belief that Cam McInnes had scored a try in the first half, but referee Gerard Sutton ruled that he had been held up by Roosters defenders Siua Wong and Lindsay Collins.

Despite several replays, the Bunker did not find any definitive angles that would have allowed them to overturn the live decision.
