"Souths skipper weighs in on chances in Round 1"
As the South Sydney Rabbitohs gear up for the start of the season, they are set to welcome back a number of key players to their lineup.
However, there may still be a crucial piece missing from their puzzle.
According to reports from zerotackle.com, Cameron Murray sustained a wrist injury during the captain's run before Australia's Test match against New Zealand in the Pacific Championships.
Murray has indicated that his availability for the season opener against The Dolphins is uncertain, with plenty of work still to be done in the coming weeks.
"I'm still unsure if I'll be able to play," Murray disclosed to The Sydney Morning Herald.
"While I'm eager to get out on the field, it might be wise not to rush things and risk further injury.
My recovery has been a slow process, and I'd prefer not to go through it again."
In typical Aussie style, the Souths skipper is remaining cautious about his return to play, knowing that patience and proper rehabilitation are key to a successful comeback.
