NRL players selected Duncan as one of the competition's two leading second-rowers after his strong season in the Cardinal and Myrtle.
Manly-Warringah forward Haumole Olakau'atu occupies the other second-row position in the 14-player team.
Every contracted NRL player could vote, although players were barred from choosing teammates. Duncan's inclusion therefore represents recognition from opponents he faced during the campaign.
The honour adds to Duncan's growing standing at South Sydney, where his work rate, versatility and consistency have made him an important part of the forward pack.
