2024 Sharks Junior Reps – Staff applications

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks Rugby League club is currently in the process of accepting applications from individuals interested in becoming staff members for their junior representative teams for the 2024 season.

This opportunity is open to a range of positions including coaches, sports trainers, physiotherapists, equipment coordinators, strength and conditioning personnel, team managers, and ground announcers/timers.

The Sharks have a strong focus on development and pathways for their young players, with the Matthews Cup team reaching the under-17's Finals in 2023 after making it to the Grand Final in 2022.

Additionally, several players from the under-19 SG Ball squad have progressed to represent the Club's Jersey Flegg team this year.

As a result, the Sharks are seeking experienced and skilled staff members to continue their success in the junior representative competitions.

While the Sharks are accepting applications from interested individuals, it is important to note that submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee an interview for a position.

The club will carefully consider all applications and only invite successful applicants for an interview.

Those who are chosen for a position will be contacted via email to proceed with the hiring process.

Applicants interested in joining the Harold Matthews Cup team have until Thursday, September 7 to submit their application, while those interested in the SG Ball team have until Friday, September 8.

This gives potential staff members a limited amount of time to express their interest and apply for a position.

The Sharks are expecting a high level of interest due to their successful junior representative program and the opportunity to work with talented young players.

Overall, the Sharks are looking for dedicated and passionate individuals to join their staff and contribute to the ongoing development and success of their junior representative teams.

This is a chance for aspiring coaches, trainers, and other support staff to be involved in a professional Rugby League environment and make a positive impact on the careers of young players.
