The revelation that Shaun Johnson almost signed with the Canterbury Bulldogs adds another twist to his rollercoaster journey in the NRL.

After leaving the New Zealand Warriors in 2018, Johnson found himself struggling with injuries during his time with the Cronulla Sharks.

Despite his best efforts, the Sharks opted for a fresh start with a new coach and a new star halfback in Nicho Hynes.

Hynes' stellar performance led the Sharks to a top-four finish, but Johnson's return to the Warriors in 2022 proved to be a challenging period for both him and the club.

However, under the guidance of Andrew Webster in 2023, Johnson's form improved drastically as the Warriors unexpectedly secured a spot in the finals.

This latest revelation sheds light on the ongoing drama and unpredictability that define the world of Rugby League.
