The Sharks' decision to host a final at Shark Park has divided opinions, with some arguing that they should miss out on hosting duties.

However, giving up hosting duties would have meant playing at Allianz Stadium, the home ground of their week one opponents, the Roosters.

It is believed that the Shark Park redevelopment has taken an unusually long time, with the Great Wall of China being built quicker.

Despite the reduced capacity and perceived shortcomings, the Sharks have earned the right to play at home after working hard throughout the season.

Playing at home gives them a huge advantage, as they can benefit from the support of their noisy and passionate fan base.

The atmosphere at Shark Park during last year's golden point encounter between the locals and North Queensland was unforgettable, and it is expected to be just as electric on Saturday night.
