In a disappointing home match, the Cronulla Sharks faced a significant defeat against the Warriors, with the final score being 40-10.

The Sharks entered halftime trailing 12-10, but struggled in the second half, conceding five tries, which led to their second consecutive loss.

The match took a toll on the team, particularly with centre KL Iro suffering a potential pectoral injury.

The Warriors opened the scoring within the first six minutes when winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak scored a try, though halfback Luke Metcalf missed the subsequent conversion.

The Sharks attempted to respond but were thwarted by the Warriors' aggressive defense.

In the 15th minute, Warriors centre Adam Pompey capitalized on a cross-field kick, increasing the lead to 10-0 after Metcalf converted the try.

The Sharks finally made their mark in the 22nd minute when winger Mawene Hiroti scored a try, with halfback Nicho Hynes successfully converting it.

This brought the score down to 10-6, sparking hopes for a comeback.

However, the second half saw an unraveling for Cronulla as they struggled to recover against the Warriors' relentless attack.
