In the upcoming Round 12 matchup, the Sharks are set to face the Roosters, with the Sharks currently positioned securely within the top eight after a victory over Melbourne.
They aim to strengthen their standing against a Roosters team that will be without five key Origin players: Maroons duo Lindsay Collins and Robert Toia, as well as Blues stars Angus Crichton, Spencer Leniu, and Connor Watson.
This significant absence will test the Roosters' depth, especially as they seek to recover from a close loss to the Bulldogs.
The Roosters, under coach Trent Robinson, have already seen four debutants in the 2025 season, including Toia in Round 1, and will introduce Benaiah Ioelu for his first NRL cap this week.
Additionally, Taylor Losalu will participate in just his fourth game.
In their last encounter, the Sharks secured a 38-30 victory during the 2024 Magic Round, where Nicho Hynes showcased an exceptional performance, positioning him as the Blues' halfback for Game One of the Origin series.
The Sharks will look to replicate that success as they prepare for this crucial clash against the undermanned Roosters.
