Sharks Secure Rising Star for Two Years

The Cronulla Sharks have secured the future of talented forward Felix Fa'atili by re-signing him for an additional two seasons.

Originally hailing from Christchurch, Fa'atili joined the Sharks in 2023 after impressing scouts while playing for Wynnum Manly in Brisbane.

Since then, he has risen through the club's ranks, becoming a full-time member of the NRL training group for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Fa'atili noted the bright future ahead while remaining with the Sharks.

"I'm excited and grateful to have this opportunity to extend my time here at the Sharks," Fa'atili said in a Sharks statement.

"I'm really looking forward to the rest of this year and then to the next two seasons."

"I've learnt so much already from the senior players, from Fitzy and the NRL staff, as well as from all the coaches I've had at the Sharks along the way and I'm hoping I can continue to improve and to be good enough to play in the NRL."

Fa'atili made his move to the Shire in 2023 to compete in the club's Under 19s SG Ball squad before swiftly advancing to the Under 21s Jersey Flegg team that same year.

During the 2024 season, he made a significant impact by playing 25 games at the Flegg level, scoring 10 tries.

He matched this performance last year with another 10 tries over 21 appearances.

Currently, Fa'atili is a key player for the Newtown Jets, set to start in the front row as they head to New Zealand to take on the Warriors in the NSW Cup.
