Laine-Sietu named Sharks Junior Rep Player of the Year

Prestyn Laine-Sietu has been honored as the Sharks' Junior Representative Player of the Year, following a standout season where his team recorded six wins and three losses in 2025.

The Sharks SG Ball side qualified for the Finals but was eliminated in the first week.

Laine-Sietu's achievement places him alongside notable past recipients such as Blayke Brailey, Teig Wilton, Sam Stonestreet, and 1982 winner Barry Russell, who attended the award ceremony.

Laine-Sietu's journey with the Sharks began after he was selected for the Queensland schoolboys team for two consecutive years.

He is currently part of the extended Queensland under 19's Origin squad, with a team to face NSW to be announced soon.
