In a clash between the Green Machine and the Sharks at PointsBet Stadium, the Raiders suffered a 24-6 defeat, despite securing their place in the finals.

The Raiders got off to a strong start, with Jordan Rapana scoring the opening try in his 200th NRL game.

Rapana displayed his experience by winning an aerial duel over Connor Tracey, thanks to a pinpoint kick from Jamal Fogarty.

Fogarty successfully converted the try, giving the Green Machine an early 6-0 lead within the first five minutes of the game.

The Raiders continued to dominate the field and put pressure on the Cronulla outfit.

However, the Sharks successfully used their captain's challenge to escape a tough situation.

Following this, the Sharks capitalized on their advantage, kicking for touch and gaining momentum, resulting in a try by Jesse Ramien in the 15th minute.

Although Braydon Trindall missed the conversion, the Raiders still held a slim lead of 6-4.
