Sharks Bite Twice, Titans Tossed for Danger

Cronulla Sharks forward Briton Nikora has been charged twice for dangerous contact during a loss to the Melbourne Storm.

Meanwhile, Brian Kelly of the Gold Coast Titans faced a charge for a dangerous throw in their defeat against the North Queensland Cowboys.

Both players will receive fines but carry the offences on their records for 12 months unless they successfully contest the charges at the NRL judiciary.

Nikora's charges stem from two separate incidents: making dangerous contact with Cameron Munster in the 39th minute and with Shawn Blore in the 66th minute.

As he already had an offence on his record, both charges are classified as second offences.

Nikora faces fines of $1800 each with early guilty pleas, or an additional $700 per charge should he decide to contest them at the judiciary.

Notably, the on-field match officials only placed him on report for the first charge, while the second was unreported.
