As the 2024 NRL regular season reaches its climax, the Jersey Flegg Cup gears up for an intense finals weekend, showcasing the rising stars of rugby league.

One of these bright talents taking center stage at Leichhardt Oval this Saturday is Michael Gabrael, a promising centre who signed a three-year deal with the Cronulla Sharks last season after stints with the Canterbury Bulldogs and Parramatta Eels.

A rising star hailing from the Wentworthville Magpies, Gabrael has been earmarked for greatness, earning a spot in the NSW Blues U19s State of Origin squad earlier this year.

His impressive resume also includes representing the U18s City NSW team in 2023 and winning the Best 'Back' award in the Harold Matthews Cup during his time with the Parramatta Eels.

In a recent interview with Zero Tackle, Gabrael delved into the importance of his family in his rugby league journey and the transition from Belmore to the Shire, where he aims to shine as a future NRL star.
