The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks secured their spot in the upcoming Jersey Flegg Finals series after defeating the Newcastle Knights last Sunday.
With a 30-26 victory, the Sharks finished third on the competition ladder, earning them a qualifying Finals match against the second-placed Canterbury Bulldogs.
The highly anticipated game is scheduled for an 11am kick-off at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday.
The winner of this match will face the Roosters, who claimed the Flegg Minor Premiership.
Meanwhile, the loser will go up against the winner of the elimination Finals match between the Penrith Panthers and Melbourne Storm.
Despite finishing behind the Bulldogs in the regular season with 36 competition points, the Sharks are confident in their abilities to come out on top.
They have named a strong team for the match, including Blake Hosking, Sam Healey, and Manaia Waitere, who have all played for the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup in recent weeks.
Additionally, front rower Max Bradbury, who has been recovering from a foot injury, will be available for the qualifying Finals match.
This is a promising development for the Sharks, as Bradbury is a member of the full-time NRL training group.
