Wests Tigers back-rower Alex Seyfarth may be looking at a potential season-ending ban following a charge from the Match Review Committee (MRC).
During the Tigers' match against the Canterbury Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon, Seyfarth was sent to the sin-bin for a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle on Harry Hayes, who had to leave the field for HIA protocols.
This incident marks Seyfarth's third offence, meaning he will automatically miss the club's next three matches if he takes the early guilty plea option.
However, if he chooses to challenge the charge and is found guilty by the judiciary, he could be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
In related news, Cronulla Sharks forward Jesse Colquhoun is facing a one-match suspension due to a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact charge. Additionally, Seyfarth's teammate Alex Twal is looking at a fine between $1000-1500 for tripping Bulldogs winger Jethro Rinakama.
