Sea Eagles swoop in to extend winger's stay

Manly Sea Eagles winger Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega is set to be given a contract extension, according to reports.

Vaega, one of only three players yet to secure a deal for the 2025 season, has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the team.

His powerful presence on the field has been a handy backup option, especially when key players like Tommy Talau, Lehi Hopoate, Jason Saab, and Reuben Garrick are sidelined with injuries.

With news of Jaxson Paulo potentially leaving in a player swap deal, Vaega's importance to the team has only increased.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that the winger has signed a one-year extension that will see him stay with the Sea Eagles until the end of the 2025 NRL season, providing depth in the outside backs.

Having already played three matches this season against the Eels, Broncos, and Storm, Vaega's experience in the squad has grown.

With a total of 12 career appearances under his belt, the winger's extension is sure to bolster the team's lineup and offer a reliable option when needed.
