The Manly Sea Eagles face a significant challenge in their upcoming match against the Wests Tigers as they will be without their veteran leader, Jake Trbojevic. The team is striving to regain their winning momentum and make a late charge for the NRL Finals. Unfortunately, Trbojevic has sustained a concussion, which mandates that he adhere to the NRL's necessary 11-day stand-down concussion protocols.
Coach Anthony Seibold noted, "The good thing is he's sitting up inside there. It's Category 1, so he'll definitely miss next week." He expressed disappointment, stating, "It's the third one this season so it's really disappointing for him and us." The team is already grappling with the absence of six or seven other forwards, making Trbojevic's absence even more impactful.
In addition to Trbojevic, the Sea Eagles are missing forwards Haumole Olakau'atu, Josh Aloiai, and Nathan Brown. The club is also keeping a close watch on the status of front-row player Taniela Paseka, who is working his way back from an Achilles injury.
