Sea Eagles Fall to Cowboys in Golden Point

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles faced a narrow 19-18 defeat against the North Queensland Cowboys during Round 19 of the 2026 NRL Telstra Premiership at 4 Pines Park.

In a thrilling finish, Scott Drinkwater secured the win with a field goal just two minutes into golden point, marking Manly's second consecutive loss.

The Cowboys initially took the lead in the 10th minute when Tom Chester broke through for a try, with Jake Clifford converting to make it 6-0.

Unfortunately, Ben Trbojevic exited the game due to a head clash after the kick restart, marked as a Category 2 HIA, and he did not return.

Manly came close to scoring in the 15th minute when Reuben Garrick's flick pass nearly sent Jason Saab over the line, but he was stopped just short.

Saab soon found success, scoring in the 17th minute after Tom Trbojevic's impressive break, leveling the game with Jamal Fogarty's conversion at 6-6.

The momentum shifted as Manly capitalized on a Cowboys' error, turning the tide in their favor.
