Despite displaying defensive resilience, Salford found themselves trailing 20-0 at halftime due to a double from Kyle Feldt, along with scores from Owen Dagnall and Morgan Knowles.

As Salford's defense weakened, Tristan Sailor added another score.
The scoring spree continued with Jake Burns netting a quick double, Sailor securing his second, and Feldt completing his hat-trick, culminating in a comprehensive rout.
Salford's coach Paul Rowley had noted some encouraging signs for his team during their 10th successive Super League defeat against Hull the previous weekend, and the adjournment of their winding-up hearing in midweek was seen as an additional morale boost.
