Knights prop Jacob Saifiti became the second player to be dismissed this season after striking Warriors winger Luke Laulilii with a harsh high tackle.
Saifiti rushed from the line and made shoulder contact with Laulilii's head, misjudging the tackle completely.
Laulilii, who was making his club debut for the Warriors just 12 minutes into the match, received medical attention for a few minutes but fortunately was able to leave the field on foot.
The Knights player expressed immediate regret, but it was clear what the outcome would be, as Saifiti joined Dragons standout Jaydn Su'A as the only players dismissed in 2026.
"He's gone. He has to be," said commentator Michael Ennis.
"He's come out of the line with intent and has absolutely rocked Luke Laulilii. Boy, that's savage.
"He comes out of the line and just gets it wrong."
Referee Adam Gee informed Saifiti and captain Kalyn Ponga that the prop had made "direct and very forceful contact."
