Sam Walker's return from ankle surgery will add intrigue to Friday's preliminary final, with the Roosters halfback named alongside Daly Cherry-Evans against the Dolphins.
The match at Suncorp Stadium also revives memories of last year's 64-12 Roosters victory, when four players were sin-binned after tensions erupted.
Naufahu Whyte was among those dismissed following a high hit on Billy Smith, while Spencer Leniu and Aublix Tawha clashed twice before Whyte confronted Francis Molo.
Dolphins captain Isaiya Katoa mentioned the confrontation after his team defeated the Warriors, saying the Dolphins had learned to control their emotions.
Whyte, however, said the Roosters forwards would protect one another if Friday's contest again becomes heated.
"It's a pack-versus-pack (situation)," Whyte said.
"They're sticking up for their brothers, I'm doing the same for Spencer. If it goes down again, I'll have my brother's back."
"Once we cross that white line, it doesn't matter. We're going after it. If it does result in stuff going down, then it goes down."
He also insisted the Roosters needed to impose themselves physically from the opening exchanges.
"As a middle forward, as a prop, you have to set that standard and set that boundary," he said.
Leniu has attracted renewed attention after conceding a possession penalty while targeting Keaon Koloamatangi in round 27. The Roosters removed him soon afterwards and did not recall him.
Whyte enters the final as a more established forward than he was during the 2024 preliminary final against Melbourne, when he had made only eight starts and averaged about 30 minutes.
He now leads all NRL forwards for post-contact metres and says greater self-belief has transformed his performances.
Walker's selection moves Hugo Savala to the six-man bench, while Smith remains at centre.
